I still write for clients, but also coach experienced newsletter and content writers to use the same system I use to locate and sign clients who want an 80-100-page short book to boost their career visibility.
If you can write a blog post or a Medium article, you can write a short book.
The book chapters are limited to a single idea, just like a blog post or article.
Clients and Where I Find Them
I’ve identified a place where these clients hang out and are active. I post there every day and have become the go-to professional for individuals who want a short book that:
- Clarifies their thinking for others
- Elevates their professional reputation
- Articulates a unique point of view
- Attracts better career opportunities
- Presents their framework or process
This niche has the expertise and budget to pay writers like you and me to extract and package it into a short book.
What they don’t have is the time—or interest—to write the book themselves.
Most of my students aim for 2 to 3 clients per month, depending on their availability and goals, earning $7,000 - $16,000 per month.
